Food for the hungry? Justice for the oppressed? These feel like new ideas to me, but some would say that these are God’s ideas and they are really, really old.

To be honest, the Beatitudes have never made a whole lot of sense to me. How can meek possibly be a good thing? The same goes for righteousness – sounds a lot like self-righteous to me.
